Dear Sir,

I am writing in response to your notice in February 20th in the agency of this company.

I would like to be considered for the position of Beverage Server of the Cruise. I hope that my real occupation as a Teacher of English at PUCV and my course of Bartender would qualify me for the position.

I am an EFL Teacher, graduated from PUCV and I have been working for two years now at a school. But now I am consider changing my life a bit and I really got enthusiastic when I first saw this notice.

Even though when my occupied as a Teacher may not be useful for this particular position, I have to say that I took a course of Bartender a year ago and I worked for five months in a bar but I could not continue because it was so demanding according to my another job. I really had fun during that period, it was such an entertainment job.

With this letter I enclosed extra information, such as my C.V and some reference from my job. I hope it would be useful. I would be very grateful if you decide to contact me, for me to explain to you my previous experience in a better way. I have full disponibility for an interview. Dear Sir,

I was very pleased after I found the advertisement of the ballooning across Europe. My two best friends and I agreed to go on this trip but we have some doubts. We would be very grateful to you if you could answer them.

First of all I would like to know about the prices. How much is this trip costs?  And what does the price include? One of my friends is worried about the weight of the baggage, is there any limit weight? I mean for to be aware of an extra payment or something according to that. Now that I asked about the baggage what do you think it is the most suitable clothe for this kind of trip?

Second of all I would also like to know about the accommodation. We are 3 girlfriends but we do not mind if it is the same room for all of us. Something that is really important for us is the food. Could you tell me if the meal is including in the trip´s price?

Another thing that really concerns us is the equipment. We know that this trip is not like any other so I was wondering if the equipment it is provided or if we have to take it.

Finally, I would like to know if the trip guide speaks English. Well I am really looking forward for you to answer all the questions because they are very important issues for us. I would also be very thankful for any extra piece of information.

Erasing memories

FECIR

Last month I went to the 9th version of the theater festival, FECIR, that had place in my hometown. The purpose of this festival is mainly to invite the community at the theater, let them to have access to independents, differents, national and international movies.

This festival had place the second week of February. The first night had a big audience. Between the guest there were known actorsand actresses, authorities of Rengo, movies directors, etc. The event started wit the opened speech and then continues the show with a short film and the central movie. During the week, FECIR showed short films in the afternoon, 4 or 5 per day and in the nights 2 movies were the main show.

There was one movie that I really liked it. It calls :" Las cosas como son". It´s a national movie that takes place in stgo. This movie shows us the way our society envolves with foreigners.

Internet nowadays

Nowadays is impossible to think about a house without access to internet. You can see on the street people selling these “connections packages” with super cheap promotions. Internet is part of your life. Internet is a drug.

According to Cambridge´s dictionary the first definition of drug is related to any substance that you consume. Consequently global policy do not consider internet as a drug because it is not being consumed by your body.

On the other hand, studies have shown that you spend 70% of your daily hours surfing the internet. The third definition of drug, according Cambridge´s dictionary, is related to anything that makes you dependent on.         You may think that the Internet is not being “consumed” literally by your body. But internet dominates your brain. In theory is being consumed.

In conclusion, I really consider that something is wrong. If we spend more of the half of our day online. I think global policy should take some actions in some way. This is beyond the actual “illicit drugs” (that people consider). Internet is a silence, powerful, and even dangerous drug.
